Christian & Conservative
For the girls.
Not sure what to say, what to do, what to get? AbbyGirl bags are perfect to give your daughter in order to be prepared for her first period. Statistics tell us that most young women will not start their periods at home. I was at school when I started my first period, and I was very unprepared. I didn’t want that to be the case for my girls. When my oldest daughter was going through the amazing hormonal changes of puberty, I made a little bag for her to have at school…to throw in her locker, backpack or athletic bag. She showed it to her friends and then their parents asked me to make one for their daughters! Of course, my daughter did start her period at school, but she was absolutely prepared and actually excited about this huge change in her life. That’s what I want for your girls: confidence, preparedness and zero shame. Our bodies are amazing and should be celebrated!
What’s in the bag?
As this can be a time of uncertainty and
confusion, we made sure to include all you
need in your AbbyGirl bag:
- Panty liner
- Thicker pad
- Pair of underwear
- Scrunchie
- “Life saver” mint
- Stick on heating pad for possible cramps
- Stationery note for you to fill out to write a
personalized letter to your daughter
Prepare & Empower Her
Why Do I Need It?
This time in your daughter’s life is filled with so many changes and so much emotion that it can be daunting sometimes intimidating to do and say the right things. We want these bags to not only help prepare her, but to help empower her as you go through the bag together.
As a mother of three daughters, I refuse to allow my girls believe anything other than the truth – they are beautifully, authentically and biologically female. They are not “menstruating persons.” They are not “bleeders.” They are amazing women, made in the image and likeness of God.
